Who Is The Real Barack Obama? A Radical, A Racist, And A Political Fabrication Who Engages In Endless Fabrications!

Until now we have engaged in a sort of piece meal examination of Barack Obama, dealing with fragments of the man, which, when taken together, form the mosaic that is the totality of Obama. In this colum I would like to provide a summary overview of my thoughts and feelings re who Barack Obama really is. If I were being less than generous — and certainly less than complete — I think I could sum him up in 2 sentences: (1) He’s an eloquent empty suit (and really only eloquent when he has a teleprompter), and (2) he’s Louis Farrakhan in Ivy League drag. However, let’s dissect the man with slightly more precision and a bit more detail.
1. His Philosophy — Somewhere Between an Ultra Liberal and a Radical.- According to The National Journal, a nonpartisan organization that has ranked members of Congress on a liberal-conservative scale every year since 1981, Barack Obama’s voting record was ranked as the most liberal member in the Senate in 2007 (ahead of Biden (#3), Bernie Sanders (#4, the only avowed socialist in the Congress), Hillary Clinton (#17), and Ted Kennedy (who didn’t even make the top 25). In support of this conclusion, the organization’s editor, Charles Green, prepared a column “Why Obama Was ‘The Most Liberal’”, which appears at national journal.com on 8/28/08. In the column, Green goes on at some length to explain the process by which this annual determination is made. Of course this “most liberal” characterization may not suit the fancy of some (like all true liberals) because, as I’m sure you have noticed, they shy away from being so labeled, e.g. Kerry and Obama. But, notwithstanding such skeptics, this is the judgment of the Journal, and, over the years, I have found their rankings to be both fair and accurate.
In Obama’s case, the “most liberal” ranking acutally understates the case. Obama is a radical, and his status as such is amply borne out by the company that he has regularly kept on his political ascent— and who he has tried to pass off as casual acquaintances who have not significantly affected his thinking, e.g. his racist anti-American Pastor, Jeremiah Wright, his friend, unrepentant terrorist Bill Ayers, radical Father Michael Phleger, his financial backer and supporter, crook Tony Rezko etc., etc. We have discussed Wright, an ultra-left wing racist minister, who, in more honest times, Obama described in more affectionate terms, i.e. I could no more disown him than I can disown the black community (or my (white) grandmother, who, on occasion, displayed a measure of racial insensitivity), etc.
Also, as a community organizer, Obama learned from the teachings of Saul Alinsky, author of Reveille for Radicals (1946) and Rules for Radicals (1971). Alinsky was probably the first person to coin the term community organizer. Indeed, he operated as such in Obama’s home base, Chicago. He preached what amounts to open rebellion — organizer toAlinsky appeared to sound a lot like what we might think of as a revolutionary.
2. His Politics — He’s Your Typical Chicago Machine Political Hack.- Obama came up through the Chicago (Cook County) political machine — the dirtiest political operation in the country. And this goes back many years — long before the Daley machine (and the Mafia) delivered Chicago (and, as a consequence, the rest of Illinois) to Jack Kennedy in 1960. In this regard, Mort Sahl’s comment years ago puts the ugliness of Chicago politics in perspective: Sahl observed that “[I]ve arranged with my executor to be buried in Chicago. Because when I die, I want to still remain active politically.” And the comment’s import is, unfortunately, possessed of a grain of truth — I suspect that more dead people (almost all of whom voted Democratic) vote in Chicago than any other locale.
As part of Obama’s community organizing activities, he was active in ACORN (Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now) and associated with the GAMALIEL Foundation. No organization has been associated with, and found guilty of, election fraud more frequently (and more regularly; indeed, election fraud appears to be what the organization was formed to do, and it is certainly what they do best) than ACORN. GAMALIEL is another “community organizing” mechanism in the mold of Saul Alinsky By the way, in this regard, it is interesting to examine the fruits of Obama’s organizing efforts. Is the “community” better off for Obama’s having passed through it? Or, put another way, who benefited more, “the community” or the “organizer?” Let’s see, THE ORGANIZER is running for president and the community is not in much better shape than they were before he passed through it — still looking for government handouts.
3. His Honesty — What Honesty, His Story on Almost Any Issue or on the Important People in His Life Seems to Vary from Day to Day.- Whether he’s talking about an immediate withdrawal from Iraq, the threat of Iran,the state of the economy, or the people with whom he has been closely associated, he regularly contradicts himself and then seeks to explain it in terms of either (1) he was being taken out of context, (2) we didn’t understand what he was saying, and/or (3) he didn’t say what we thought we heard him say. As far as the important people in his life, how often have you heard him say — on being confronted with the reality of who they were — that that’s not the person I knew, e.g. Wright, Rezko, etc., etc.
4. His Bipartisan Skills, i.e. His Record of Being a “Uniter” — Nonexistent; He Has Always Voted Along Strict Party Lines.- Obama’s record, either in Illinois or the U.S. Senate, is almost completely bereft of any — and certainly not any significant — effort of reaching across the aisle. He is strictly a partisan political hack, who votes the straight party line on almost every occasion. In this regard, there is no question as to who has the edge — McCain, as I have noted before, doesn’t merely walk across the aisle, he leaps across it, frequently to the consternation and displeasure of many within his own party (including me) — indeed, that is why he has frequently been described as the Dem’s favorite Republican.
5. His Experience — NONE.- We’ve been over this in great detail (although, in point of fact, we only scratched the surface). See my column of 9/19/08. In brief, his resume is that which you would expect from a solid fellow applying for his first serious job, which would not be the presidency of the United States.
6. His Totality — A Manufactured Wizard of Ooze by a Democratic Party in Search of a Charismatic Creator. Obama has been thrust onto center stage of American politics as, first “the Magic Negro” (David Ehrenstein, L.A. Times, 3/19/07), and thereafter as something akin to the Messiah — or a black version of Jack Kennnedy. In point if fact, he is neither. All that he is is a smooth talking Chicago machine hack, and very much a black version of Bill Clinton, a smooth talking snake oil salesman, a derelict, and a complete fraud.
7. CONCLUSION: Barack Obama is a figment of the left-wing’s imagination — he has done nothing, accomplished little or nothing, and he has nothing really to offer, either in terms of either the country’s economic woes or its national security concerns. In short, he is little more than teleprompter eloquent, and he would be a disaster as our commander-in-chief — a job that does, indeed, call for skills, instincts, judgment, and talent that are way above his pay grade. Or, put another way, he is little more than another vacuous political hack.
8. Further Observations and Additional Resources.- I have spent the last year or so digging into Obama’s background — reading just about anything and everything that has been written about him. I include, as an addendum to this column, the results of my digging. Suffice it to say that, as the result of this effort, it is my considered opinion that Obama is the most radical left-winger that the Democrats have ever put forward as a candidate for the presidency. To call this fellow “Bush Lite” is a patent absurdity. He is actually “McGovern Heavy.” Indeed, when I hear the notion advanced that a McCain presidency would be a Bush third term, my reaction is as follows: An Obama presidency would be a McGovern 1st term, a Carter 2nd term, and a Clinton 3rd term (without all the sex scandals, of course; since Michelle isn’t running for the presidency, it is unlikely that she would be quite as “forgiving” as Hillary in this regard). That is, Obama embodies the socialism and surrender of McGovern, the feckless incompetence of Carter, and the empty eloquence and fundamental dereliction of Clinton.
