HILLARY’S FAUX APOLOGY TO OBAMA—LOOK OUT, IT’S ABOUT TO GET REALLY DIRTY

As noted last week, Hillary’s campaign has, as predicted, turned dirty,resulting in some of Hillary’s representatives calling attention to Obama’s flirtation with drugs (a happening which Obama himself had mentioned in his book), his alleged use of a “slush” fund, and the composition he prepared in elementary school in which he expressed the desire to be president (they’re digging deep here). These nasty attacks backfired, and Clinton was forced to apologize to Obama re the drug charge. Of course, Hillary claimed that she had no knowledge of the attack and thus was not responsible for its having been made. And the author of the attack, the Vermont governor’s husband had to resign as her Vermont campaign co-manager.
Watch this course of conduct carefully; it is standard operating procedure for the Clintons. First the attack by an underling; if it works, great—if not the underling resigns (falls on his sword) with Hillary claiming no responsibility for the attack. That’s how they work—the politics of personal destruction, coupled with some effort made to establish plausible deniability.
